Wireless networks have reached schools. In some universities around the world wireless networks are beeing use for academic purpouses, not only for connecting students' laptops to the Internet. In the Tec the Monterrey (Mexico City), university students have access throught their mobile devices (cellphones and PDA's) to the platform using the wireless networks. They get updates all time, everywhere while in campus, about new homeworks, teacher comments or events. Even better they keep getting all this information outside campus through the wirelss Internet provided by their ISP (Iusacel BAM technology). This second benefit is also available for the virtual university students, who are able to check their schedules, homeworks and sometimes even answer them back.
